From Wrecked to Restored: A Journey Through Trials to Purpose

Isaiah 41:10 (NIV):"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

As I reflect on 2024, I am reminded of the powerful words from Isaiah 41:10 ” This year tested my faith to its core, laying bare the heartbreak and struggles I had endured. I faced the collapse of my business, which worked in conjunction with individuals with disabilities and mental health challenges. The weight of owing creditors became suffocating, and I found myself entangled in conflicts stemming from the chaotic environment of associating with gang affiliates. As my situation deteriorated, I lost friends who couldn’t understand the unpredictability of this journey.

With changes in government policy affecting the disability sector, the foundation of my work crumbled even further. It felt as if everything had been dismantled, and my spirit was weary. Yet through these trials, I began to discover how God was leading me toward a new path, bridging the gap between my struggles and my purpose. This year was not merely about loss; it became the groundwork for a new beginning. With the Lord’s guidance, I am finding a way to establish a life woven with passion, purpose, and resilience.

The Birthing of

DiversiWealth

1. God’s Presence in the Pain

During this tumultuous season, my soul felt wrecked as I grappled with the weight of my circumstances.

The enemy prowled like a roaring lion, attempting to instill fear and doubt, as echoed in 1 Peter 5:8, which warns us to “be alert and of sober mind” because the adversary is constantly seeking to devour us. I was on the brink of giving up, overwhelmed by the chaos that surrounded me, and yet, I clung to the only source of strength I knew: God's unwavering presence.

In the midst of my despair, I turned to prayer, surrendering my pain and failures before Him. Isaiah 41:10 became a lifeline: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” In those quiet moments, I felt the reassurance of His presence enveloping me, reminding me that I was never alone in my struggle. The chaos outside could not diminish the comfort He offered within.

As I leaned on His promises, I discovered courage in uncertainty and strength in my vulnerability. God gently urged me to step back and trust that His hands were at work, even when my circumstances felt bleak. I began to realize that these trials were not in vain; they were shaping me for a greater purpose that I would soon come to understand. To anyone facing similar struggles, know that in your darkest moments, you have a source of strength waiting for you. Seek Him, and hold on—for your breakthrough is often just beyond the trial.

2. Finding New Strength: Embracing a New Tribe.

The journey of transformation often comes with its share of losses, and during this pivotal time, I found myself grappling with the loss of friendships that I had once held dear. The pain of these separations was profound, yet amid the sorrow, I leaned into my faith. The scripture from Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us that “there is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” This helped me understand that sometimes, letting go is necessary for personal growth and divine alignment.

As I navigated through this challenging season, I prayed for strength and direction, and God was faithful. Slowly but surely, I began to connect with new individuals who shared my values and vision. This new tribe emerged as a source of encouragement and support, reminding me of 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, which speaks of God as the “Father of compassion and the God of all comfort.” Their presence became a balm for my wounded heart, reinforcing my belief that every ending paves the way for new beginnings.

To anyone out there feeling the ache of lost friendships, remember that God sees your pain and has a purpose for it. Embrace the season of change, for it often leads to the blooming of new connections that will uplift and inspire you.

Stay open to the possibilities; your new tribe may be just around the corner, ready to walk alongside you on this journey of healing and discovery.

3. A Prophetic Word

In June 2024, a friend prophesied that something transformational was on the horizon, to guide me toward my true purpose. At that, I did not know what that word would mean, in the coming months, as I went through the depths of darkness, that prophetic word became an anchor of hope which ignited within me. It is remarkable how the words penetrate the fog of our circumstances, providing a glimpse of when everything appears. friend's prophecy became the anchor during my season, encouraging me to remain rooted in faith while actively the opportunities that God was orchestrating in my life.

As the weeks passed, I found myself grappling with despair, yet amidst the struggle, pieces of clarity began to form. I realised that God was not just reorienting my path; He was intricately aligning my purpose with a broader mission that transcended my initial aspirations. This realisation transformed my perspective, allowing me to see my circumstances through a lens of potential rather than limitation. It became evident that the prophecy, arriving at such a critical juncture, was a reminder to trust the journey, no matter how winding it seemed.

This renewed clarity reignited my passion for digital marketing, leading to the establishment of my venture, Diversiwealth.

4. Revelation and Redirection

As I was journeying through the chaos, God began to reveal passions within me that I had long ignored. While I had always been drawn to digital marketing and e-commerce, I had never fully engaged in this arena. It was as if God was saying, “This is where I want you.” I was reminded of Ecclesiastes 11:2, which encourages diversification: “Invest in seven ventures, yes, in eight; you do not know what disaster may come upon the land.” It dawned on me that God was guiding me to a field where my talents could flourish.

This revelation brought a sense of relief. I began exploring digital marketing and e-commerce opportunities with excitement and newfound purpose. With each step I took towards this new path, I felt God affirming my direction, slowly reestablishing my confidence and hope in the future.God's provision during this journey was evident. He sent people into my life who believed in me, igniting a spark of courage in my heart. Their support lifted the weight of fear, reminding me that God does not call the equipped but equips the called. Each success, no matter how small, became a testament to His faithfulness and a sign that my fears were being replaced with faith. As I ventured deeper into this world, I felt a swelling sense of purpose that began to overshadow my previous doubts.

Not only was I moving toward an area of passion, but I was also walking into a purpose that could impact others. As I embraced my newfound direction, I realised that my journey was not just about my restoration but about creating a legacy of hope and empowerment for others who faced similar struggles. In this light, the struggles of 2024 shifted from mere obstacles to stepping stones toward my divine calling. With God leading the way, I understood that He was not just helping me recover but was sculpting me into the person I was always meant to be.

Here Are 3 Things I Sense For 2025

1. God's Double Portion of Grace

In 2025, we can expect to experience God’s double portion of grace in our lives. This abundant grace isn't just a mere increase; it's a profound outpouring of God’s unmerited favor, allowing us to navigate life's challenges with divine strength and perseverance. Just as it is written in Isaiah 61:7 (NIV), “Instead of your shame, you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance.” God is promising us not only restoration but also an overflowing blessing that will transform our shame into joy and our struggles into testimonies of His grace.

As we step into this year, it’s important to position ourselves to receive this grace. This means leaning into prayer, embracing community, and fostering a heart of gratitude. God’s double portion of grace will empower us to look beyond our circumstances and see the possibilities within them. When we rely on His grace, we'll find the strength to rise above past disappointments and venture boldly into our purpose, ready to share the transformative power of His love with others.

2. Power and Authority

In 2025, we can look forward to stepping into the power and authority that God has bestowed upon us as His children.

This year, we will witness the boldness to speak life into our situations and the courage to take action on the dreams He has placed within us. Luke 10:19 (NIV) says, “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.” This promise reassures us that we have been equipped to face any challenge, armed with the authority of Christ.

Embracing this power means understanding our identity in Christ and realizing that we are meant to influence the world around us. As we walk in our God-given authority, we can expect to see barriers broken and chains shattered, not just in our own lives but in the lives of those we touch. Our faith combined with His power will open doors we thought were closed, allowing us to impact our communities and reflect God’s glory in all areas of our lives.

3. Dismantling in 2024 Will Be Reestablished in 2025

The dismantling that occurred in 2024 was not in vain; it was the precursor to something beautiful being established in 2025. We can trust that God uses every painful moment for our good and His glory, as stated in Romans 8:28 (NIV): “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” In 2025, we will see the new structures, relationships, and opportunities emerge from the ashes of what was torn down, bringing forth growth and restoration.

As we move forward, we can look to God with anticipation, knowing that He is weaving His divine plan through our experiences. Just as He promised restoration to His people in Joel 2:25 (NIV): “I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten,” we too will experience His promise of reestablishment. So let us rejoice in our new beginnings, for what seemed like an ending in 2024 is merely the foundation for our remarkable story of hope and renewal in 2025.

Dear Heavenly Father,

As we come to the end of this reflection, we thank You for Your unwavering presence in our lives, especially in times of trial and uncertainty. We ask for Your strength to carry us through our struggles and for the courage to lean on Your promises. May we find hope in the midst of despair and comfort in the knowledge that You are always by our side. Help us to trust in Your plans for us and to support one another as we navigate the challenges that life presents. Strengthen our hearts and guide us toward purpose, allowing us to rise from our trials with renewed faith and resilience.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
