Cheshvan \/ October 5786 — “Anchored in the Deep”

As we step out of Tishrei – Anchors in the Storm and into Cheshvan, the Lord says, “Now I will take you deeper.”
The storms that once raged have quieted, but the silence feels unsettling. The wind has stilled, yet your spirit senses something beneath the surface — a drawing, a pull, a holy invitation.

This is the month of depth and divine anchoring. It is not the surface season of celebration or visibility. Cheshvan is quiet, unassuming, hidden — but heaven is moving underneath. The deep is not loud, but it is alive. God is calling His sons and daughters below the noise, beyond the shallow waters of convenience, and into the secret chambers of communion.

“Do not mistake My silence for absence,” says the Lord. “For I am speaking in the stillness. I am building in the dark. I am fortifying what cannot be shaken. I am calling you into the deep—not to drown you, but to deliver you. What you built in survival, I am now establishing in stability.”

Many are feeling the tension of transition — the space between what God promised and what they see. The surface looks calm, even stagnant, but underneath, the currents of the Spirit are shifting foundations. God is not trying to move you faster; He’s trying to root you deeper. He’s cutting the anchor lines that were attached to people, platforms, and performance — and securing you to His presence alone.

This is a month to lean into the slow, to embrace the sacred stillness, and to trust the unseen work of God. The absence of movement is not delay — it’s divine depth. For in the deep, faith stops striving and starts resting. Obedience replaces ambition. Worship becomes breath.

“I am anchoring My prophets, My intercessors, and My builders in the depths of My Spirit,” says the Lord. “You will no longer drift between assignments or depend on the approval of men. I am sealing your identity in Me. You will not rise and fall with the tides of opinion, because your roots will drink from the deep wells of My presence. Those who endure this depth will become steady voices in the storms to come.”

Cheshvan, historically, is when the fountains of the great deep broke open (Genesis 7:11). It was a month of shaking, yet also of preservation — when God shut Noah inside the ark and sealed him from the flood. This month, the Lord is doing the same with His remnant. He’s sealing doors, closing distractions, and inviting His people into covenantal hiding — not for isolation, but for incubation.

You may feel enclosed, unseen, even forgotten, but this is the ark of His mercy. In this hidden place, He is downloading blueprints, maturing vision, and teaching you to carry His glory without needing an audience. The deep is where you stop performing for breakthrough and start becoming it.

Let Him separate the sediment of old mindsets. Let Him quiet the storms within you. For when the next shaking comes, those who have been anchored in the deep will stand unshaken.

You are not hidden, you are being held. You are not delayed, you are being developed.
The deep is not your enemy — it is your encounter.
