The Hour of Separation
Today I heard the Spirit of the Lord say: “The wheat and the tares have risen together, but the hour of separation is coming.”
New Zealand, there is a deception that has entered through our gates. It has come subtly, quietly, and strategically — creeping over time until it has woven itself among the people of God. What we are seeing in this hour is not new. It is ancient. It has risen before, disguised in different forms, and now it resurfaces with a modern face for a new generation.
It borrows the language of Christ but carries the stench of something unholy. It seeps into pulpits, healing lines, and even deliverance rooms. It offers power but delivers bondage. It parades itself as “light,” yet at its root it is darkness.
I know this spirit well — for before Christ, I too was caught in its snare. And I see how, in this hour, many are being swept away because their hunger for more of God has not been matched with the discernment to test the holy against the counterfeit.
Jesus Himself warned of this day:
“The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field, but while his men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went away.” (Matthew 13:24–25)
Notice this: the tares were sown while men were sleeping. When the watchmen slumber, when the church grows dull, deception finds its entrance. The wheat and tares grow together, looking almost identical until the harvest. Only at maturity do their fruits reveal their true nature.
This is what we see now. The Spirit is exposing tares among the wheat — movements, teachings, and practices that sound “Christian” but carry no cross, no repentance, no holiness, no Christ.
From Eden to today, the serpent’s whisper has not changed: “You will be like God.” (Genesis 3:5)
What we often call “new age” is not new at all. It is the same ancient lie, simply repackaged in Christian vocabulary. It cloaks itself in scripture, worship lyrics, even healing and deliverance — but its root is rebellion.
The Spirit has shown me five deceptions rising in our land. These are some of the tares among the wheat:
1. ✨ Counterfeit Light
“Christian” meditation and energy-based prayer.
Prophetic words that lean into fortune-telling.
Angelic encounters that bypass Jesus.
Deliverances done with frequencies or energy sources, not the Spirit of God.
📖 “Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.” (2 Corinthians 11:14)
2. 🎭 Performance over Presence
Miracles and deliverances turned into entertainment.
Worship built on lights, hype, and celebrity culture rather than holy fear.
Leaders praised for charisma instead of intimacy with Christ.
📖 “Many will say, ‘Did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name do many mighty works?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you.’” (Matthew 7:22–23)
3. ⚖️ Mixture of Truth and Lies
Scripture blended with psychology, mysticism, and universalism.
Crystals, sage, and occult practices given “Christian” wrappers.
Identity messages that glorify self while rejecting the cost of the cross.
📖 “See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ.” (Colossians 2:8)
4. 💔 Love Without Truth
Grace without repentance.
Deliverance without holiness.
“Love wins” without the cross.
Comfort without confrontation of sin.
📖 “If you love Me, keep My commandments.” (John 14:15)
5. 🪞 Self as Savior
“Manifest your destiny.”
“Speak your breakthrough into existence.”
Identity teaching that exalts man rather than Christ.
📖 “You will be like God.” (Genesis 3:5)
Beloved, we cannot afford to be spiritually naïve. Hebrews 5:14 tells us that maturity comes when our senses are trained to discern good from evil.
Discernment is not suspicion. It is not paranoia. It is the Spirit-given ability to distinguish between the holy and the counterfeit. True discernment always leads us back to Jesus, to holiness, to obedience, to the cross.
Here are three questions we must learn to ask:
Does this exalt Christ or man?
Does this carry the cross or bypass it?
Does this produce holiness or feed compromise?

Aotearoa is a gate nation. What enters here influences not just us, but the Pacific and beyond. This is why the enemy fights so fiercely at our gates — because what takes root here will spread.
We cannot afford to entertain mixture. We cannot allow deception to parade unchecked. The harvest is ripening, and the Lord Himself is sending His harvesters to separate wheat from tares.
Intercessors: Arise and guard the gates. Take your stand in prayer over pulpits, movements, and leaders.
Leaders: Preach the uncompromised Word. Expose mixture. Train your people to discern.
Believers: Pursue intimacy with Christ above all. Anchor yourself in scripture. Do not chase signs and wonders more than you chase His presence.
The fire of the Lord is coming to expose strange fire. The wheat and tares will be revealed for what they truly are.
New Zealand, the Lord is speaking. The field is ripening. The gates are shaking. The separation is coming.
This is not a word to condemn, but to awaken. The Spirit is calling us to discern, to stand, to guard the gates — so that true revival can break forth, untainted by mixture or counterfeit power.
“He who has ears, let him hear what the Spirit is saying in this hour.”
